In the early 1980s we began raising puppies for the Guide Dog Association. Ten years later we were asked to foster their Labradoodle brood bitch, Inga, who lived with us until she was almost fourteen - she and her litter sister Ilsa will always be missed.
As a primary school teacher I often took Guide Dog puppies to classrooms and libraries, teaching eager students about basic dog training and care and about the Guide Dog program.
After many years of working with intelligent dogs with impeccable temperaments it was an easy decision to join the happy world of dog lovers who share their homes with Golden Retrievers.
We live on a small acreage in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. Before puppies leave with their forever-families they will be introduced to a range of sights and sounds, including neighbouring sheep, horses and cattle.
